We had a nice rain yesterday and it looks like we get rain some more. They did come one evening, and I got my hair cut, and they told me of there trip. He stoped and asked if I seen some one come by. I said, “Yes, up there is his car and he ran into the weath field and hid himself.” Then they told me he robed the Bank and we are trying to find him. Goering Gazette readers: I remember well that Art first typed up Dad’s journal from a notebook. It was very difficult to read but Art decided to type it up exactly like Dad had written it, feeling that his spelling was a precious part of the stories. He made copies for all of the sibs. Some time later Ralph approached him and scolded him for having so many typos. Ralph then gave Art his copy and had spelling and punctuation corrected. He then wanted Art to reissue it with the corrections. He even scoffed at Art for not knowing better–after all, a teacher should know better than that! Ralph was a bit irritated at Art for refusing to redo it. I just remembered this as I was reading this segment. Thanks, Bobbie.
