Saturday a.m. we had a trip to Hone Quarry by horse-drawn wagon and automobiles. For lunch we had a hot dog and home made ice cream meal. In the afternoon we played some games, sat around in the heavenly shade and visited, and most of the children went wading in the stream and small body of water and surprise! got very wet.
Saturday supper was a chicken barbeque prepared by Jim A. H. and David Goering. We also had some baked beans but some of the beans spilled in a trunk enroute to Reddish Knob to view West Virginia. (Some hiked up to Lover’s Leap near the picnic grounds). All the children and their spouses prepared delicious food to add to the chicken and beans.
