From Jim
Jim shared a story with Dorothea about a time he was visiting when Herb and Dot lived on H. J. Dyck’s farm. Jim remembers it as a Sunday morning and the hogs had gotten out. Jim was helping Herb get the last one in, which refused to go back in the hole through which it had gotten out. Instead of using unprintable expletives, Herb just said, with some emphasis, “You obstinate pig!” Jim admired his restraint and gained a useful word that is not only descriptive of pigs.
