Rosie and Harry Goering shared this story. Harry came home around one year of age, because of some family situation or something at Ida’s household. Larry stayed with Emilie’s family until closer to two years of age. Willard Stucky told Harry and Rosie this story: Willard came home from school and looked all over the house for little Larry (who no doubt was at the age of running around) and couldn’t find him anywhere. So he asked his mom (Emilie) where Larry was and they told him he had gone back to his family and his real home. Willard said he cried. He was heartbroken. It seems they could have at least told the family the day before just what was about to happen but they didn’t. Of course they did see each other again on visits.
